Absolutely! Did you know the average lifespan of a doula has been around two years? Often that is because of a lack of business skills and support when you are getting started. When you become a professional doula taking care of your business is just as important as doula work. We are here to help you start your business and as an added bonus you can take Julianne's "Doulas and Dollars" workshop for an entire blue print on how to get your business started. Julianne offers a discount when you sign up for both doula training and Doulas and Dollars.
Yes you can! Some people get into doula work as a side hustle or like Julianne make it their career. You can earn a living wage with time. Starting a business takes patience as it does take time to start earning money. Doula can choose to attend more or less births based on their financial goals. Some doulas work other jobs when they are first starting out and then move into full time doula work as they grow their business.
Early registration helps us plan class materials, reserve the training space, and prepare for each student. As a thank-you for planning ahead, we offer reduced tuition for students who register early.
After your training is complete you will have some assignments on the portal to complete. Once those are completed you can begin the certification process through Perinatal Professionals Association. You will also be given access to a private facebook group for support, linked with a supportive professional community and lifetime mentorship and resources on the portal.

No. Some students take this training because they want to become professional doulas. Others take it to deepen their knowledge, support loved ones, or add birth support skills to their existing work.
That is completely normal. Many students begin with excitement and uncertainty. This training is designed to help you build knowledge, confidence, and community. And if you are still feeling stuck book a call with Julianne and let's talk it through! (Book a general virtual appointment)

I completed the Doula Training with Julianne Curtis and it was truly one of the most informative and engaging trainings I’ve ever attended. Julianne’s depth of knowledge is unmatched, and her teaching style is refreshingly real, honest and funny! What stood out most to me was her inclusive, nonjudgmental approach to birth work. She honors all birthing preferences and makes it clear that there is space for every kind of doula in this field. Her encouragement and support gave me the confidence to move forward in my journey, and I left the training feeling empowered and prepared to start my business.
If you’re feeling unsure or nervous — take the leap. You won’t regret it. Julianne’s training is a gift to anyone entering the birth world, and I can’t wait to learn more from her in the future.

I really enjoyed the various teaching methods you utilized. You accommodated many learning styles. Your encouragement and exercises to help us believe in our ability to be good doulas was very impactful. What I found most meaningful was your willingness to be a part of our community as we step forward in doula work. You went above and beyond to make this dream feel accessible while equipping us for the hard work of making it come true. Overall I would highly recommend your training for anyone looking for a supportive, experienced and knowledgeable teacher.

No problem! I offer both the Professional Birth Doula Training and Doulas and Dollars virtually too. You'll just need access to a computer and space to move around. Email hello@nocodoulacollective.com about upcoming virtual class options
